COURSE DESCRIPTION
INTERMEDIATE-LEVEL
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Design characters that actually work in a TV pipeline. This intermediate-level course is built for artists ready to push beyond solid drawings into intentional, production-ready design.
This 10-hour intensive blends lecture, live demos, guest artist sessions, and real-time feedback. Students will explore how to create appealing, functional characters that hold up across poses, expressions, and episodic production demands, while developing a stronger point of view in their design work along the way.

Austin Faber's credits include The Owl House, SpongeBob SquarePants, and
The Witch Boy. They’ve also taught storyboarding at CG Master Academy
and mentored emerging artists through Sheridan College Animation Program, where they served as a peer mentor throughout their time in the program.

Asia Ellington got her start in animation
as a Creative/Production intern for Disney Television Animation in 2019, and is currently a Lead Character Designer at Disney TVA, having worked on The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse, Primos, and a medley
of projects in development.
