Code of Conduct At Black N Animated (BNA), we are committed to creating safe, welcoming, and inclusive spaces for Black creatives and our wider community. This Code of Conduct sets the standard for how we show up for each other across all BNA programs, events, and workshops. By participating, you agree to uphold these values. Our Values: C.A.R.E. Compassion — Lead with empathy and kindness in every interaction. Altruism — Support others selflessly, lifting as you climb. Responsibility — Own your actions and their impact on the community. Ethics — Act with integrity, honesty, and respect for all. Expected Behavior Treat all participants, staff, and volunteers with respect, dignity, and consideration. Listen with openness to different perspectives. Ask for consent before taking photos, videos, or recordings of others. Follow event and venue guidelines. Support a creative, collaborative environment. Unacceptable Behavior The following will not be tolerated at any BNA event or space: Harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind. Intimidation, threats, or stalking. Unwelcome sexual attention or advances. Disruptive, unsafe, or aggressive conduct. Destruction or misuse of venue or BNA property. Recording or photographing individuals without permission. If You Need Support If you feel unsafe, are harassed, or witness a violation of this Code of Conduct: Please reach out immediately to a BNA staff member or volunteer. For confidential support, you may also contact our Ombuds representative. In urgent situations, venue security or local law enforcement may be called. Consequences Anyone violating this Code may be subject to: Immediate removal from the event without refund. Loss of BNA membership and/or access to future opportunities. Referral to security or law enforcement if necessary.
