Hi, this is Iesha Daboya and she is a TV comedy and action/comedy features screenwriter based in Houston.

Once a devoted political digital strategist for Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer in the US Senate, Iesha Daboya has spent years producing innovative and diverse storytelling tactics and messages for the Democratic Party. After this, she then moved to Edelman PR where she served as a Digital Account Executive for the health and education sectors. Eventually, Iesha redirected her focus and heart to her forever passion that would allow her to use her voice to highlight and celebrating Black girls everywhere: screenwriting. She got her start in entertainment as a Showrunner’s Assistant on the second season of the hit Freeform series, Single Drunk Female and Lionsgate’s Ripple series.

Iesha Daboya is a graduate of the University of North Texas and American Film Institute Conservatory. Iesha craves to see bold, unapologetic, and empathetic characters on screen. Like the Sagittarius sun, she is, Iesha writes about seeking freedom and finding your own path.
